THE following astronomical tables are published for general information. They give the New Zealand Standard mean time when the sun is on the meridian of the Hector Observatory, Wellington, and the sun’s apparent right ascension at apparent noon, Wellington. The adopted position of the transit instrument at the Hector Observatory is longitude 11 h. 39 m. 4·3 s. east of Greenwich and latitude 41° 17′ 3·8″ south.

Preference shares issued to the Crown under Bank of Zealand Act, 1903, £500,000.
Ordinary shares, £500,000.
Rate of the last dividend declared to the shareholders on preference shares, 10 per cent. per annum.
Rate of the last dividend declared to the shareholders on ordinary shares (12 per cent. per annum, and bonus 3 per cent. per annum), 15 per cent. per annum.
Amount of the last dividend declared to the shareholders on preference shares, £50,000.
Amount of the last dividend declared on ordinary shares, £75,000.
Amount of the reserved profits at the time of declaring such dividend, £1,418,117.
