Revoking Part of a Proclamation proclaiming Land as a Road in Block X, Kowai Survey District, Tawera County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of the Land Act, 1908, it is therein provided that every Proclamation, Order in Council, or other instrument, whether made under any Act in force prior to the commencement of that Act or made under or by virtue of that Act, and all regulations, by-laws, conditions, or rules made by the Governor, the Minister, or any Land Board, may be altered, amended, or revoked from time to time :

And whereas it is necessary to revoke part of a Proclamation issued under the said Act, proclaiming land as a road in Kowai Survey District, dated the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, and hereinafter referred to as “the said Proclamation” :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects two acres and thirty-seven perches, part of Rural Section 31454, Block X, Kowai Survey District, being the whole of the land firstly mentioned in the Schedule to the said Proclamation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Kowai Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-second day of December, 1913.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and three, certain powers were delegated to the Kowai Domain Board for a period of ten years :

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

GEORGE DEAN GREENWOOD,
GEORGE NORMAN MCLEAN,
GEORGE BAYNTUN STARKY,
GEORGE WORNALL,
GERALD LOVAT STEAD, and
WILLIAM HENRY HALE

to be the Kowai Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when, and Kowai Domain Board Office, Amberley, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

KOWAI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 34 acres and 10 perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section 7855 and the whole of Rural Section 7989, situate in Block XII, Grey Survey District, and comprising the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 125, folio 77, District Lands Registry Office, Christchurch; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1227/41A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 214 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Reserve 2066 (in red), situate in Block VIII, Grey Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Innes Road and part Reserve 1675, 2396·9 links and 4980·4 links respectively; towards the south-east by Tobins Road, 3916·9 links; towards the south-west by Rural Section 19023, 3467·5 links; and towards the north-west by Rural Section 28735, 3844·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1227/41A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing the Exchange of Portions of Plantation Reserves in the Canterbury Land District for other Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, 1914.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the parcels of land described in the First Schedule hereto are vested in the Selwyn Plantation Board for plantation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said lands for the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, which are deemed by the Governor to be of equal value and more suitable for plantation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto.
