Amending Order in Council making Regulations as to Ships
being provided with Wireless Telegraphy Apparatus.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day
of April, 1914.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twentieth
day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
twenty-third day of the same month, regulations were
made as to ships being provided with wireless telegraphy
apparatus :
And whereas it is desirable that an amendment should be
made in clause three of such regulations :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon him by section fifty of the Ship-
ping and Seamen Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby delete the words
“Detached Service Regulations” from clause three of the
said regulations of the twentieth October, one thousand
nine hundred and thirteen, and doth hereby insert in lieu
thereof the words “Detailed Service Regulations.”

Authorizing the Exchange of Part of a Primary-education
Endowment in the Canterbury Land District for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth
day of April, 1914.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule
hereto is vested in the Crown, in trust, as an endow-
ment for primary education: And whereas the opinion
of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is
deemed by the Governor to be of equal value and more suit-
able for the purposes of an endowment for primary education :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, doth hereby declare that the land described in the First
Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in
the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 18 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less,
being part of Reserve 1122, situated in Block XII, Wester-
field Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing
at the north-western corner of Rural Section 9945; thence
bounded towards the north-west by a road-line, 395 links;
towards the north-east and east generally by road-lines and
Rural Section 28134, 4329·55 links; and towards the south-
west by Rural Section 9945, 4041·15 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 1912/887, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE
THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 19 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less,
being Rural Section 4440, situated in Block XII, Westerfield
Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at
the south-eastern corner of Rural Section 10853; thence by
lines bearing 33° 42′ 45″, 4050·4 links, 140° 17′, 521·65 links,
213° 42′ 45″, 3900·7 links; and towards the south-west by
the Alford Forest Road, 500 links, to the point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/887,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
