Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum
Industry Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
seventh day of March, 1914.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE W. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Go-
vernor, by Order in Council gazetted, may, on the recom-
mendation of the Land Board, declare that any land com-
prised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified
in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry
Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land
to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provi-
sions of the Land Act, 1908 :

And whereas the Land Board of the Auckland Land Dis-
trict has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
kauri-gum reserves described in the Schedule hereto be
excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry
Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recom-
mendation :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority con-
ferred upon me by section forty-six of the Land Laws Amend-
ment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do
hereby order and declare that the kauri-gum reserves de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto shall, from the second day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, cease to
be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
470 acres, more or less, and situated in Block II, Mangawai
Survey District, Otamatea County, being Mangawai No. 2
Kauri-gum Reserve, set apart by Order in Council dated
6th May, 1901, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 46, of 9th May, 1901. Bounded towards the north by
Allotment 336, Parish of Waipu ; towards the east generally
by Allotments 230 and 293 of the aforesaid parish, and by a
public road ; towards the south generally by Allotments 318
and 308 of the aforesaid parish, by a public road, and by
Allotment 122, Parish of Mangawai ; towards the south-west
by Allotment 334, Parish of Waipu ; again towards the north
by a public road ; and towards the west by Allotment 306,
the abutment of a public road, and Allotment 306A, Parish
of Waipu.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
480 acres, more or less, and situated in Block II, Mangawai
Survey District, Otamatea County, being part of Molesworth
No. 1 Kauri-gum Reserve, set apart by Order in Council
dated 21st August, 1899, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 71, of 24th August, 1899. Bounded towards the
north-east and east generally by a public road, the crossing
of a public road, and again by a public road ; towards the
south-east by a right line from a point on west side of a
public road, the production of the south-eastern boundary of
Allotment 16, Mangawai Parish, to the north-eastern corner
of Allotment 18, Mangawai Parish aforesaid ; towards the
south-west by the last-mentioned allotment ; towards the
north-west by a public road and across the said road ; to-
wards the west generally by a public road and across a public
road ; and again towards the north-west by Allotment 230,
Waipu Parish, across a public road, and by Allotments 54
and 55, Waipu Parish aforesaid.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, contain-
ing 266 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, and situated in
Block XV, Waipu Survey District, Otamatea County, being
Allotments 116, 120, and N.E. 121, Mangawai Parish, and
known as part of Mangawai No. 3 Kauri-gum Reserve, set
apart by Order in Council dated 6th May, 1901, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette No. 46, of 9th May, 1901.
Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment 117, Mangawai
Parish and a public road ; towards the south and west
generally by a public road ; and towards the north-west by
Allotment 122 of the aforesaid parish.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, contain-
ing 80 acres, more or less, and situated in Block III, Manga-
wai Survey District, Otamatea County, being Allotment 43,
Mangawai Parish, and known as part of Mangawai No. 4
Kauri-gum Reserve, set apart by Order in Council dated
6th May, 1901, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 46, of 9th May, 1901. Bounded towards the north-east
by Allotment 9, Mangawai Parish ; towards the south gene-
rally by a public road, Allotment 43A of aforesaid parish,
and again by a public road ; towards the south-west by
Allotment 42 of aforesaid parish ; and towards the north-
west by Allotment 10 of the aforesaid parish.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
87 acres, more or less, and situated in Block IV, Otamatea
Survey District, and Block I, Pakiri Survey District, Otamatea
County, being northern parts of Allotments 53 and 54,
Mangawai Parish, and known as Mangawai No. 5 Kauri-gum
Reserve, set apart by Order in Council dated 6th May, 1901,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 46, of 9th May,
1901. Bounded towards the north-west, north, and north-
east generally by a public road ; and towards the south-west
by southern parts of Allotments 53 and 54, Mangawai Parish.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. & S.
VI/4(2), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
