Constituting the Town District of Mangapapa, in the County
of Cook.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908,
that the Governor may declare that any locality
outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty house-
holders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition was presented to the Governor by
the inhabitants within the area mentioned in such petition,
praying that such area in the County of Cook might be con-
stituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:
And whereas a Commission was appointed under the Town
Boards Amendment Act, 1912, to hold an inquiry and make
a report as to the suitability or otherwise for municipal con-
trol of the said area, and to make such alterations of the
boundaries thereof as they deemed advisable: And whereas
the Commission so appointed made certain alterations in the
boundaries of the area mentioned in such petition, and re-
ported that the area as so altered and described in the Sche-
dule hereto is suitable for municipal control:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested
in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and its amendments,
and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the area described as aforesaid in
the Schedule hereto shall be a town district, and the same is
hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards
Act, 1908, by the name of the Mangapapa Town District.
And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I
do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of
Commissioners for the said district shall consist of seven
members.
SCHEDULE.
MANGAPAPA TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Whatau-
poko No. 3 Block; thence along the north-eastern boundary
of the said Whataupoko No. 3 Block and the north-eastern
and south-eastern boundaries of Whataupoko No. 4 Block to
the Borough of Gisborne; thence along the north-western
and northern boundaries of that borough to the Taruheru
River, and along the left bank of that river to Allotment
No. 10, Hapara; thence along the eastern boundary of that
allotment to its north-eastern corner; thence across a road
to the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 31, Halstead,
and along the eastern boundary of that allotment to its
north-eastern corner; thence along the northern boundary
of Allotment No. 32, the abutment of a road, and the northern
boundary of Allotment No. 33, Halstead, to Lytton Road;
thence along the western side of that road to Ormond Road;
thence along a right line bearing 37Β° 58' to the north-eastern
side of Matokitoki Road, and along the north-eastern side of
that road to the south-eastern boundary of Whataupoko
No. 5 Block; and thence along the south-eastern boundary
of that block to the place of commencement.

Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House, at Wellington, this sixth day of
March, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and fourteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things,
enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended
under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in con-
