COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to
execute a certain public work, and for that purpose
to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

The work proposed to be undertaken is the construction of
a new line of road through Section 2, Block IX, Whangara
Survey District (an education reserve), and Waimata South
No. 2B, Block IX, Whangara Survey District. It is also
proposed to stop the present road in Section 2, Block IX,
Whangara Survey District, and exchange the land in the
present road for the land in the new road.

All persons having any objection to the taking of the land
for the new road, or who will be injuriously affected by the
construction of the new road, or by the stoppage of the
present road, are required to state their objection in writing,
and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council,
Childers Road, Gisborne, on or before the 25th day of March,
1914.

A plan of the road to be taken and of the road proposed
to be stopped are on view at the office of the Council daily
during office-hours.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to
execute a certain public work—viz., the construction
of a road through Puninga No. 2 Block, Block VIII, Nuhaka
North Survey District—and for that purpose to take the
lands described in the accompanying Schedule.

The works proposed to be undertaken upon the line of road
are—clearing 10 ft. wide, and the construction of drains for
the passage of surface-water.

The owner of the land is Mr. G. R. Wyllie.

Plans of the land to be taken are on view, and may be
inspected at the office of the Council, Childers Road, Gis-
borne, daily during office-hours.

All persons having any objection to the taking of the land,
or who will be injuriously affected by the construction of the
road, must state their objection in writing, and send the
writing to the office of the Council on or before 2nd April,
1914.

a company duly incorporated in the State of New
South Wales, intends to commence business in New Zealand
and that the office or place of business in New Zealand,
where legal processes of any kind may be served upon it and
to which notices of any kind may be addressed are situate
at No. 47 Hall of Commerce, High Street, in the City of
Auckland.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately sub-
sisting between us, the undersigned, JAMES HAMIL-
TON, JAMES BREEN, and WILLIAM RUTHERFORD McHUGH,
carrying on business as Butchers at No. 89 Albany Street,
No. 62 Frederick Street, and No. 27 Maclaggan Street, Dun-
edin, under the style of “Hamilton, Breen, & Co.,” has this
day been dissolved by mutual consent.

All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be
received and paid by the said JAMES HAMILTON and WILLIAM
RUTHERFORD McHUGH, who will continue the said business
in partnership under the name or style of “Hamilton &
McHugh,” at the above address.

As witness our hands, this sixteenth day of February, one
thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate
of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN
ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be sub-
scribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
2s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of
the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the GOVERN-
MENT PRINTER, Wellington, to whom post-office money-
orders should be made payable. Cheques should be
crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.

Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders
are issued.

Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be re-
turned with receipted account.
