WHEREAS the Hon. the Native Minister has, under the provisions of section 4, subsection (3), of the Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1914, referred certain matters affecting the Waikare-Mohaka Blocks to me for investigation and report, notice is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be investigated by Judge Rawson at Napier on the 15th day of January, 1915, or as soon thereafter as may be convenient, and that, after investigation, the said Judge will report thereon to me at Wellington.

Re Purahotangihia Block.

1. Which persons comprise the twenty-seven names set out in the Schedule to a certain agreement dated the 13th June, 1870, referred to in section 7 of the Native Land Acts Amendment Act, 1881?

2. What amendments are necessary in the Native Land Court orders, or in any of the certificates of title drawn up in pursuance thereof, in order that such orders or certificates may accord with the minutes of the proceedings under the said section 7?

Re Awaawatotara Block.

1. Which persons comprise the names set out in the Schedule to a certain agreement dated the 13th June, 1870, referred to in section 7 of the Native Land Acts Amendment Act, 1881?

2. What amendments are necessary in the Native Land Court orders, or in any of the certificates of title drawn up in pursuance thereof, in order that such orders or certificates may accord with the minutes of the proceedings under the said section 7?

3. Whether the name of “Toha” was omitted from the Schedule in error, and whether the Crown agreed to the name of “Toha” being inserted in the title?

Re Te Kuta Block.

1. Which persons comprise the names set out in the Schedule to a certain agreement dated the 13th June, 1870, referred to in section 7 of the Native Land Acts Amendment Act, 1881?

2. What amendments are necessary in the Native Land Court orders, or in any of the certificates of title drawn up in pursuance thereof, in order that such orders or certificates may accord with the minutes of the proceedings under the said section 7?

3. Whether all the owners whose names are set out in the orders of Court or certificate of title are either original owners or successors to original owners?

NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be considered at a meeting of the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board to be held at Gisborne on Tuesday, the 12th day of January, 1915, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Board will allow.

It is hereby notified, for the general information of parties, that, unless reason is shown to the contrary, the Board will dismiss, on the ground of non-prosecution, any of the applications hereinafter referred to as “Adjourned Applications” which are not brought on for consideration at the meeting.
