The total births in the four chief cities and their suburban boroughs amounted to 600, against 678 in October, —a decrease of 78. The deaths in November were 228—a decrease of 40 as compared with the previous month. Of the total deaths males contributed 122, females 106. Forty-four of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 19·30 per cent. of the whole number; 31 of these were under one year of age.

There were 89 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards in the four chief cities and their suburban boroughs, as against 116 in October. The following table shows the classification :—
