Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Stores.

Wellington, 15th December, 1914.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman (Government Printing Office) not later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the 10th February, 1915, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., main ports, of the undermentioned material:

6 tons copper wire, binding, 60 lb. per mile.
4 " " 50 lb. "
50 " hard drawn, 200 lb. per mile.
50 " " 150 lb. "
3,000 earpieces, vulcanite, with flange ; and
3,000 rings for above earpieces.

The successful tenderer will be required to give security for the due performance of the contract. Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington, the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch, or the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin, where samples of the earpieces and rings may be seen.

Education Board of the District of Otago.—Election of Member. —Extraordinary Vacancy, Central Ward.

Dunedin, 1st December, 1914.

IN accordance with section 24 of the Education Act, 1908, it is hereby notified that JAMES WALLACE has been duly elected a member of the Education Board of the District of Otago for the Central Ward, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of the Hon. Thomas Fergus.

The number of valid votes recorded for each candidate in the election was:

Wallace, James . . . . . . . . 49
Wilkinson, James Henry . . . . . . 31
Macdonald, Eliz. H. B., M.A., M.D. . . . 18
Calder, George . . . . . . . 9
Brown, Stephen Noble . . . . . . 8

The total number of valid votes recorded was 115. The total number of voting-papers rejected as informal was one.
