Revoking Appointment of Censor of Telegraphic Messages.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by authority of an Order in Council made on the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in pursuance of section two of the Post and Telegraph Amendment Act, 1910, Lieutenant-Colonel Henderson, v.d., was by Warrant under my hand appointed to act during pleasure as Censor of Telegraphic Messages in respect of the telegraphic station at Bluff: And whereas the necessity for such appointment no longer exists: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by virtue of such authority, do hereby revoke such Warrant of appointment, the revocation to have effect on and from the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Applications invited for the Position of Director of Fields, Department of Agriculture, &c.

APPLICATIONS will be received by the undersigned up till noon on the 9th December, 1914, for the position of Director of Fields, Department of Agriculture, &c., from persons having a knowledge of agricultural science and experience in experiments and research-work appertaining thereto. The principal duties will be in connection with field crops and pastures. Copies of testimonials in triplicate must accompany applications. The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912. Salary £600, rising to £750 by annual increments of £50. Professional Division.

The Continental C. and G. Rubber Company (Limited).—Appointment of Controller.

Wellington, 28th November, 1914.
WHEREAS by regulations under the War Regulations Act, 1914, made by the Governor in Council on the 25th day of November, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the same day, the Attorney-General is empowered to appoint the Public Trustee as the Controller of an incorporated company in the cases and circumstances therein set forth: And whereas the Continental C. and G. Rubber Company (Limited) is an incorporated company which has been carrying on business in New Zealand since the commencement of the present war with Germany: And whereas the Attorney-General is satisfied that not less than one-half of the issued share capital thereof is held by or on behalf of alien enemies, and also that the relation between the said company and other companies, firms, and persons carrying on business in Germany is such as to render the appointment of a Controller of the company expedient for the public safety: Now, therefore, I, Alexander Lawrence Herdman, His Majesty’s Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, being satisfied as aforesaid, do hereby, in pursuance of the authority so conferred upon me by the aforesaid regulations, appoint the Public Trustee to be the Controller of the Continental C. and G. Rubber Company (Limited) under those regulations.
