Resignation of Deputy Chief Censor of Telegraph Messages.

of Wellington, of his appointment as Deputy Chief Censor of Telegraphic Messages for the Dominion of New Zealand.

TENDERS are invited for the supply and erection at the Porirua Mental Hospital of a refrigerating plant with capacity of not less than two tons. Full particulars of requirements and space available will be supplied on application to the Medical Superintendent at Porirua.

Tenders, addressed to the Chairman, Public Service Stores Tender Board, will be received at his office, Government Printing Office, Wellington, up to 12 noon on the 28th November, 1914.

SEPARATE tenders will be received at the office of the Chairman (Government Printing Office) not later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the 6th January, 1915, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., Wellington, of the undermentioned material:—

15,000 cups, insulator, 3½ in. by 2¼ in., swan-neck.

Tenders must be addressed to the Chairman, Public Service Stores Tender Board, Wellington. Delivery of the material is to be made within six months from date of order. Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the offices of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch; or the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin, where samples may be seen. Tenders must be accompanied by the deposit stipulated in the Conditions, and the successful tenderers must give the security required by the Conditions for the due performance of the contract.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Hon. the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the Customs Duties Act in relation to the undermentioned articles as follows:—
