NOTICE is hereby given that the parcels of land herein-after described will be brought under the provisions of the Land Transfer Act, 1908, and its amendment, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same within one month from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of THE SPORT PRINTING AND PUBLISHING COMPANY (LIMITED), (IN LIQUIDATION).

I HEREBY give notice that by an order of the above-named Court, of the 23rd day of October, 1914, the above-named company was ordered to be wound up by the Court under the provisions of the said Act; and I hereby call a meeting of the creditors of the company to be held at my office, Customs Buildings, Customs Street, Auckland, on Wednesday, 4th day of November, 1914, at 2.30 p.m.

And I further give notice that all claims against the said company must be lodged with me on or before the 23rd day of December, 1914.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth proposes to take the above-mentioned lands, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purpose of “waterworks” as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908.

A plan of the said lands, showing the names of the owners and occupiers thereof, is deposited for inspection at the office of the Town Clerk in King Street, New Plymouth.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands or the proposed work, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Corporation at New Plymouth.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, the Counties Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of every other power and authority enabling it in this behalf, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing in part the said Council’s contributions (amounting in all to £1,618 8s. 6d.) towards the expenditure of the Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board during the financial years ending 31st March, 1913–1914 and 1915, in respect of the following works, and in accordance with the certificate of the said Board that the said contributions are required for the purposes mentioned—namely, the erection of new buildings, and the making of additions and alterations to existing buildings in connection with the Palmerston North Old People’s Home, Hospital, and Nurses’ Home — the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fifth (1/25th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Kiwitea, comprising the whole of the said county; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the said loan is fully paid off.

ELTHAM DRAINAGE BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORIZING RAISING OF LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the special-rating area in the Eltham Drainage District hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the said special-rating area the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the said drainage district are collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent, the Eltham Drainage Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—

For the purpose of land-drainage construction-works as follows—viz., between Lots 6 and 10 of Sub. 1, Pukengahu Block, Block VII, Ngaere S.D. (20 chains, more or less); between said Lots 6 and 10 and Section 34, Block XI, Ngaere S.D. (26 chains, more or less); and between said Section 34 and Section 35, Block XI aforesaid (61 chains, more or less); making a total distance of 107 chains, more or less—the Eltham Drainage Board hereby authorizes the raising of a loan of £450 at £5 12s. 2d. per cent. per annum for a period of 36½ years, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year’s interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised.
