THE following results of elections to fill extraordinary vacancies in certain Fire Boards by fire-insurance companies have been reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and are being notified in accordance with the rules under the Fire Brigades Act, 1908.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of Taumarunui.

Wellington, 26th October, 1914.
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the said area may be excluded from the Borough of Taumarunui and included in the County of Taupo West. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF TAUMARUNUI.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Ohura South G No. 4A Block, thence along the Rangaroa Stream and the north-eastern boundary of that block and along the north-western boundaries of Ohura South G 4r, G 4Ο, and G 4j, Sections 1 and 3, and G 4L, Section 4, along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Section 4, Ohura South G 4L, Sections 3 and 1, and G 4K, Sections 2 and 1, to the Wanganui River; thence along the right bank of that river to the Main Trunk Railway Reserve; thence along the northern side of that reserve to the south-western corner of Ohura South G 4E, Section 2; thence along the western boundaries of Ohura South G 4E, Sections 2 and 3, to Ohura South G 4B Block; thence along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block, along the western boundary of that block, and along the western boundary of Ohura South G 4A Block, to the Rangaroa Stream, the place of commencement.
