RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE OVER RAGLAN-WAIPA SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR LOAN OF £8,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf enabling by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts it in that behalf enabling, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council, under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts (if any) it in that behalf enabling, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Raglan-Waipa main road within the Raglan-Waipa Special-rating District of the said county, the Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Raglan-Waipa Special-rating District of the said county.

The boundaries of the Raglan-Waipa Special-rating District are as follows : Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 63 of Block XIV, Whaingaroa Survey District ; then running east and north along the northern boundaries of Sections 63, 63A, to the Ohautira Stream ; thence south along the said Ohautira Stream, taking in portions of Sections 63F and 63, to the south-eastern corner of Section 63C ; thence west along the southern boundary of Section 63C to the south-western corner of same section ; thence south and east, taking in portion of Sections 64, 66, 66B No. 3, and 66B No. 2, to the south-eastern corner of Section 69 ; thence south along the eastern boundaries of Sections 42, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 11 to the south-east corner of Section 11 ; thence south along the eastern boundary of Section 3 to the south-east boundary of Section 3 ; thence south and west along the eastern and southern boundaries of Sections 67, 66, 65, 64, 63, 62, 61, 60, 59, 58, 57, 56, and 55 to the south-western boundary of Section 55 ; thence south along the eastern boundaries of Runs Nos. 1 and 4 to the south-eastern boundary of Run No. 4 ; thence along the southern boundary of Run No. 4 and the eastern boundaries of Sections, Crown land, Puketapu, 218 and 215, to the south-eastern corner of Section 215 ; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 215, 210, and 207, and the western boundaries of Sections 207, 166, 165, 164, 163, 162, 161, to the county boundary-line ; thence running west and south along the county boundary-line to the coast-line at the north-eastern corner of Section 6008D, Te Pahi ; thence following the coast-line south, north, and east to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, and the rate of interest to be paid to be £4 10s. per centum per annum, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund which is required, or until the loan is fully paid off ; and it is the intention to pay out of loan the first year’s interest and sinking fund.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the 14th day of October, 1914.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been affixed this 14th day of October, 1914, in the presence of—

MANGAWHERO ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mangawhero Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred pounds (£300), authorized to be raised by the Mangawhero Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening and metalling Waipapa Road, and constructing a bridge or culvert over the Waipapa Stream, and paying the costs of the engineering expenses of the said work, the said Mangawhero Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipapa Special-rating Area, comprising Section No. 20, Tauakira Block, Section 2B No. 1, Tauakira Block, Section 5 of 2A, Blocks XIII and XIV, Ngamatea Survey District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Inhabitants of the Mangawhero Road District was hereto affixed in the presence of—

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £1,600.—TUHOE EXTENSION.

RESOLVED, That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring, fencing, forming, and metalling the Puhirua Road Extension from the Puhirua Road south to the Tuhoе Road, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Tuhoе Extension Special-rating District, comprising the following subdivisions of the Awarua Block—3B pt. 2B (100 acres), 3B 2C (458½ acres), 3B 2D (87 ac. 1 rd. 10 p.), 3B 2E (29 acres), 3B 2F (29 acres), 3B 2G (143 acres), 3B 2H (169 a. 2 r. 10 p.), 3B 2I (84 ac. 2 rds. 16 p.), 3B 2J (445 ac. 2 rds. 20 p.), and Sections 6 to 10 inclusive, the whole being contained in Block VII, Hautapu Survey District, and more particularly shown upon the map attached to the ratepayers’ consent to such loan, and thereon bordered red ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36 years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 3rd day of October, 1914.
