  1. If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

  2. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SUMMIT ROAD SCENIC RESERVES.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 1 rood 9 perches, more or less, situated in Block IV, Halswell Survey District, and being Reserve No. 3814, part of the land shown in certificate of title, Volume 265, folio 36, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres and 37 perches, more or less, situated in Block IV, Halswell Survey District, being Reserve No. 3815 (in red), part of the land shown in certificate of title, Volume 265, folio 36, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 acres 2 roods 5 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XVI, Christchurch, and IV, Halswell Survey Districts, being Reserve No. 3816 (in red), part of the land shown in certificate of title, Volume 265, folio 36, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XVI, Christchurch, II, Sumner, and I, Pigeon Bay Survey Districts, being Reserve No. 3817 (in red), part of the land shown in certificate of title, Volume 265, folio 36, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, situated in Block II, Sumner Survey District, being Reserve No. 3818 (in red), part of the land shown in certificate of title, Volume 265, folio 36, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 3279/78, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Hoon Hay Park.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 41 acres 1 rood 13 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3901 (in red), Block III, Halswell Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 693/3A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Coronation Hill.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 31 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3900 (in red), and being part of Rural Section No. 34651, situated in Block III, Halswell Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 693/3B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Kennedy's Bush.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 97 acres, more or less, being Reserves Nos. 3735 and 3735A (in red), and comprising Rural Section 522 and parts of Rural Sections 33742, 886, 485, 6390, 30503, and 818, situated in Block III, Halswell Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 54910/71, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green and red.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3956, and comprising Rural Section No. 33742x and parts of Rural Sections Nos. 33742 and 521, situated in Block III, Halswell Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 693B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Ahuriri Bush.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 36 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3950 (in red), and forming part of Rural Section No. 13609, situated in Block VII, Halswell Survey District.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 36 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Reserve No. 3920 (in red), and forming parts of Rural Sections Nos. 13609, 34555, 906, and 1060, situated in Block VII, Halswell Survey District.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 693/32B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 26 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3948, situated in Block VII, Halswell Survey District, and being parts of Rural Sections Nos. 1182, 1183, 33950, and 33951; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 741/12, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Gravenor Bush.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods 25 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3954 (in red), and forming parts of Rural Sections 34824, 35701, and 18693, situated in Block XII, Halswell Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 731B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Cass Peak.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 32 perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section No. 1403, and now known as Reserve No. 3921, Block VII, Halswell Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. IV/22, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Lands temporarily reserved for Plantation Purposes in the Canterbury Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for plantation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3929, situated in Block VII, Fighting Hill Survey District, and bounded north-eastward by Browning's Pass Road, 460·7 links, by Reserve 1778, 9499·5 links, and by the road intersecting Reserve 1778, 48·5 links; southward by Browning's Pass Road, 501 links; south-westward by Reserve 1779, 9543·6 links; and north-westward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 5934, 251·7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and excepting thereout a road-line which is included in the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 49135/D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Also all that area in Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 12 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3930, situated in Block VII, Fighting Hill Survey District, and bounded north-easterly by Reserve 1778, 2441·9 links; south-easterly by Lot 2 of deposited plan 3588, 300 links; south-westerly by Lot 7 of the said plan, 2441·9 links; and north-westerly by Lot 25 of the aforesaid plan, 300 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 49135/E,
