Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the Stratford-Kawakawa Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS, under the provisions in that behalf of section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, the middle-line of portion of the Stratford-Kawakawa Railway from 12 m. 7 ch. on the old trial line, P.W.D. 30654 (5 m. 76 ch. on present line, P.W.D. 30725), to 17 m. (P.W.D. 30480) were defined by Proclamations dated the thirteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and the thirteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, respectively, and published in the New Zealand Gazette Nos. 101 and 82, of the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, respectively : And whereas it has been found necessary in the construction of such railway to alter such line in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the aforesaid section one hundred and eighty-eight, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the Schedules to the said Proclamations defining the middle-line of the said railway between the points marked 12 m. 7 ch. and 17 m. on the plans numbered P.W.D. 30654 and P.W.D. 30480 referred to therein ; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the part of the said railway between the points marked 5 m. 60 ch. (12 m. 7 ch. old mileage) and 10 m. 56 ch. (17 m. old mileage), marked on the plan numbered P.W.D. 34687, shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at a point in Whatitokarua Block, Block IV, Ohura Survey District, which point is marked 5 m. 60 ch. on P.W.D. 34687, being the point marked 12 m. 7 ch. on the middle-line of the railway defined in a Proclamation dated the 13th day of December, 1911, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 101, of 14th December, 1911; proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of about 4 miles 76 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following landsβ€”viz., parts Whatitokarua Block, part Whatitokarua Block Section 6, Taranui 3A Section 1, Crown land, Sections 24, 23, 22, 21, Section 4 part of Whatitokarua Block, Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Section 4 part of Whatitokarua Block, Section 1, Block IV, Ohura Survey District; Section 1, Block XV, Aria Survey District;

Sections 10 and 6, Block III, Ohura Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said Section 6 marked 10 m. 56 ch., being a point near the point marked 17 m. on the plan marked P.W.D. 30480, and referred to in the Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82, of 19th October, 1911: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Taranaki Land District: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34687, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the Stratford-Kawakawa Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Stratford-Kawakawa Railway (hereinafter termed "the said railway") is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Public Works Act, 1908: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same to the extent specified in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at a point marked 10 m. 56 ch. on the plan hereinafter mentioned, being a point in Section 6, Block III, Ohura Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of about 5 miles 79 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following landsβ€”viz., Section 6, Ohura South K No. 4 Section 2B, Section 12 (Crown land), Block III, Ohura Survey District; Section 28 (Crown land), K No. 2 Section 2B, Sections 12, 36, and Native land, Block II, Ohura Survey District; Native land Section 2A, and railway and road reserve, Block VI, Ohura Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said railway and road reserve in Block VI, Ohura Survey District, marked 16 m. 55 ch.: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Taranaki: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34687, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
