Permit to import Opium.

IT is hereby notified for public information that a permit to import opium in forms which though not suitable for smoking may be made suitable has been granted to the undermentioned person, subject to the provisions of the Opium Act, 1908, the Opium Amendment Act, 1910, and the regulations made thereunder:—

Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments.
To the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 16 perches, more or less, being Allotment 28 on deposited plan 48 showing that subdivision into lots of (inter alia) Town Section 388, Napier, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, volume 8, folio 250. The last registered owner of the above land is William Young Watson, of Havelock North, Storekeeper, who cannot now be traced.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has instituted inquiries, and has not thereby been able to find the owner of the above-described land, and believes that the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land; and if he fails or neglects so to do, the Public Trustee will exercise the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.

PURSUANT to section 41 of the Land Act, 1908, and the regulations made thereunder, I, Frederick Augustus Thompson, Returning Officer for the election of a member to the Nelson Land Board, do hereby notify the result of the poll taken on the 5th day of January, 1914, for the election of a member to the Nelson Land Board, to be as follows:—
