PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1908, I hereby give notice that, at a poll of the rate-
payers of the Borough of Invercargill taken on the 9th day
of January, 1914, on the proposal of the Invercargill Borough
Council to borrow the sum of £37,300 for the public works
mentioned in the proposal published in the Southland Times
newspaper on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd days of December,
1913, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was
172; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was
157.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Council to borrow the sum of £23,100 for the public works
mentioned in the proposal published in the Southland Times
newspaper on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd days of December,
1913, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was
150; the number of votes recorded against the proposal
was 179.
I therefore declare the proposal to be rejected.

I, PERCY GIDEON WITHERS, Assistant Registrar of
Companies, do hereby give notice that an affidavit,
a copy of which is hereunder given, by David Duncan Mac-
farlane, Chairman of the Gold and Scheelite Proprietary
Company (Limited), has been lodged with me, and that,
unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days
of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be
dissolved, in manner provided by the Companies Act, 1908.

of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN
ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be sub-
scribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
2s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of
the day preceding publication.
