In the matter of the Trustee Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908; and in the matter of the estate of George Tuckwell, formerly of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, but latterly of Sydney and Cobar, in the State of New South Wales, in the Commonwealth of Australia, Labourer, deceased.

PURSUANT to an order made by His Honour Mr. Justice Cooper, under section 74 of the Trustee Act, 1908, on the 2nd day of August, 1913, in the matter of the above estate, all creditors and others (including therein those claiming as next-of-kin of the said George Tuckwell) having claims against the estate of the said deceased are required to send in their claims to the Public Trustee, Wellington, New Zealand, on or before the 31st May, 1914; and in default of any such claims the Public Trustee will on the last-mentioned date proceed to distribute the assets of the said deceased, having regard only to the claims of which he shall then have notice.

NOTE.—The said George Tuckwell was by an order of the said Court on the 23rd March, 1911, presumed to be dead. He was a native of Wellington, and left to reside in New South Wales. Claimants must forward full particulars of the parents of the said George Tuckwell, his brothers and sisters, the date of his birth, and a resume of his life, which information will be checked with the true facts in the possession of the Public Trust Office.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

POURANGAKI BRIDGE LOAN.—SPECIAL ORDER.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That for the purpose of providing interest and sinking fund on a loan of £450, being this Council’s share of a joint loan of £600 raised by the Kiwitea and Rangitikei Counties, and authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing bridge and approaches over the Pourangaki Stream on the Upper Kawhatau Road, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five thirty-seconds of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Pourangaki Bridge Special Rating District, being Sections 13, 14, Block IX; 1, 2, Block X; 20, 3, Blocks IX and X; 1, Block IX; 2, 7, Block IX, Ruahine Survey District; 21, and Part Otamakapua Block XII, Hautapu Survey District.

Such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year to be paid out of loan.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing special order was duly adopted at a special meeting of the Kiwitea County Council, held on the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and confirmed at a meeting held on the sixteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

OTAUTAU RIVER BOARD.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Otautau River Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Otautau River Board under the above-mentioned Act for river-protective works in the vicinity of the Double Cabbage-tree Ford, on the Aparima River, the said Otautau River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixtieth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of the property in the Otautau River District, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 26th September, 1886.”

And that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is paid off as provided by the provisions of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909.
