IT is hereby notified for public information that the Auckland City Council has, by special order, declared Bathurst burr, broom, fennel, giant burdock, gorse, and hakea to be noxious weeds within the City of Auckland.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Confectioners’ Shops in the Borough of Roxburgh under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the trade of confectioner in the Borough of Roxburgh, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, at 8.30 p.m.; Thursdays, 1 p.m.; Saturdays, at 10.30 p.m.; and Christmas and New Year’s Eve, at 11.30 p.m.:
And whereas the Roxburgh Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the trade of confectioner within the borough:
Now, therefore, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that from and after the 8th day of December, 1913, all shops in the trade of confectioner in the Borough of Roxburgh shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for scenic purposes:
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tarara, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.
