All in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners, lessee, and mortgagees of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Mangawhero Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Mangawhero Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the Midland Railway between Otarama and Jackson’s.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions in that behalf of section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, the middle-line of a portion of the Midland Railway between Otarama and Jackson’s was defined by a Proclamation dated the eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 102, of the seventeenth day of the same month:

And whereas it has been found necessary in the construction of such railway to alter a portion of such line in manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the aforesaid section one hundred and eighty-eight, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to the said Proclamation as defines the middle-line of the said railway between the points marked 38 miles and 41 miles 54 chains shown on plan numbered P.W.D. 24008 referred to therein; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of railway shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point in National Park Reserve, Block XIV, Bealey Survey District, marked 38 miles, being point marked 38 miles on the line of railway shown on plan P.W.D. 24008 quoted in the aforesaid Proclamation, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 3 miles 45 chains, and passing into or through or over the following lands, &c.—viz., National Park Reserve, Blocks XIV and X, Bealey Survey District, and terminating at a point in the said National Park Reserve, Block X, Bealey Survey District, marked 41 miles 45 chains; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; the said point 41 miles 45 chains being the same point as that marked 41 miles 54 chains on the line of railway shown on the said plan P.W.D. 24008; all in the Land District of Canterbury: as the same is delineated and marked in red on the plan marked P.W.D. 34500, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
