Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that all
Native land purchased by the Crown under the authority
of that Act shall, on becoming vested in severalty in the
Crown, become Crown land subject to the provisions of the
Land Act, 1908, and shall be proclaimed as such by the
Governor, and shall thereafter be administered and dealt
with accordingly:

And whereas the Native land set out in the Schedule
hereto has been purchased and has become vested in severalty
in the Crown:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act,
1909.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Tahoraiti
Survey District, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay,
containing 83 acres, more or less, and being the land known
as Tahoraiti No. 1c Block.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of November,
in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

GOD SAVE THE KING!

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
Purposes of a Road in Buller County, near Westport.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Westport–Ngakawau Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of
Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Buller
County, the local authority of which has assented to the
issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion
that the said local authority can conveniently construct
and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the
Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be
under the control of the Buller County Council, and
shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as
other public highways are controlled and maintained by the
said Council.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of
the lessees and mortgagee of the lands described in the First
Schedule hereto, and of the Hokianga County Council, being
the local authority in whose district the said lands are
situated, proclaim as a road the lands described in the said
Schedule; and also do hereby, with the like consents as
aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the
Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of
the road described in the First Schedule hereto.
