Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.
[l.s.] LIVERPOOL, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that all
Native land purchased by the Crown under the authority
of that Act shall, on becoming vested in severalty in the
Crown, become Crown land subject to the provisions of the
Land Act, 1908, and shall be proclaimed as such by the
Governor, and shall thereafter be administered and dealt
with accordingly:
And whereas the Native land set out in the Schedule
hereto has been purchased and has become vested in severalty
in the Crown:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act,
1909.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Porangahau
Survey District, in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay,
containing 1,310 acres, more or less, and being the land
known as Mangamaire B No. 8.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of November,
in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.
