NEW ZEALAND.-FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT, 1909.
ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLING.
N OTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 (2) of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 23rd day of October, 1913, cancelled the registry of the Loyal Mangonui Lodge No. 7622, branch of the Auckland District of the New Zealand Branch of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows Friendly Society, Register No. 312 (5), held at Mangonui, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR TE KUITI BOROUGH SEWERAGE CONNECTIONS LOAN OF £1,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the several amendments thereof respectively, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the said Te Kuiti Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of making advances to assist those owners of property within the sewerage area to connect their premises with the borough sewerage system, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the fourth day of February and the fourth day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly carried at a meeting of the Te Kuiti Borough Council held on Monday, the 13th day of October, 1913.

SUBSCRIPTIONS. - The subscription is at the rate of 33s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
