Block. Area. Capital Value. Half-yearly\nRental.\n\nKAITIKE COUNTY.-HUNUA SURVEY DISTRICT.-MANUNUI\nVILLAGE SETTLEMENT.\n\nA. R. P. £ s. d. £ s. d.\n96 II 4 2 12 100 0 0 2 0 0\nSituated in Manunui Village Settlement, on the main road,\nthe access being from Manunui Railway-station, which is\nabout a mile distant. Open land of good quality, on a sand-\nstone formation.\n\nPart 78 . . | 11 1 30 | 190 0 0 | 3 16 0\nWeighted with £3, valuation for 6 chains of fencing.\n\nSituated about a mile from Manunui Township. About\n3 acres of the section are flat, the remainder being broken\nhilly country. Soil is of good quality, on sandstone forma-\ntion. The greater part of the section is open fern land, with\na few matai and rimu, with usual undergrowth on the flat.\n\nWAIMARINO COUNTY.-OHAKUNE VILLAGE SETTLEMENT.\n\n13 . . | 5 0 0 | 90 0 0 | 1 16 0\nSituated in the Ohakune Village Settlement, the access\nbeing from the Ohakune Railway-station, which is about half\na mile distant by a formed and partly metalled dray-road.\nFlat and easy undulating land, with soil of a light volcanic\nnature, on clay and grit formation. The forest has been\nmilled ; a few small trees remain, comprising tawhero, hinau,\nkahikatea, &c. Elevation, about 2,000 ft. above sea-level.\n\nWAIMARINO COUNTY.-HOROPITO WEST VILLAGE SETTLEMENT.\n\n15 X | 10 0 3 100 0 0 2 0 0\nSituated in the Horopito West Village Settlement, the\naccess being from Horopito Station, on the Main Trunk Rail-\nway, which is about a mile and a quarter distant by a partly\nformed and metalled road. All flat land ; most of the bush\nhas been burned, and only a few green trees remain. Soil is\nof fairly good volcanic nature, on shingle and grit formation.\nElevation, about 2,460 ft. above sea-level.\n\n* National endowment.\n\nTERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.\n\n1. The lands enumerated above are first-class lands, and are\nvillage-homestead allotments, open for selection on renew-\nable lease for periods of sixty-six years, under the provisions\nof the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as "the said\nAct").\n\n2. The rentals stated above shall be the prices at which\nthe lands shall be open for selection.\n\n3. Applications for leases shall be made in manner as\nprovided in Part I of the said Act; and all such applications\nshall be made to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Wel-\nlington; and leases will be issued in accordance with the\nprovisions of Part I aforesaid.\n\n4. Each applicant shall state his or her residence, occupa-\ntion, and condition in life (namely, whether married or\nsingle), and will be required to make the prescribed declara-\ntion.\n\n5. Each applicant shall pay the first half-year's rent,\ntogether with the lease and registration fee (£1 1s.), and\nvaluation for improvements (if any), immediately the appli-\ncation has been approved or declared successful at the ballot;\nalso the rent for the period elapsing between the date of the\nlease and the due date of such half-yearly payment.\n\n6. All rent must be paid half-yearly, in advance, on the\n1st days of January and July in each year, as provided in\nsection 180 of the said Act; and the first half-year's rent is\npayable as before provided.\n\n7. Improvements and residence on the land comprised in\neach lease shall be as provided in Part III of the said Act.\nThe provisions of section 162, and all other provisions of\nthe said Act with respect to substantial improvements, shall\n\napply accordingly to lessees under these regulations. The\nprovisions of section 159, and all other provisions of the said\nAct in respect of compulsory residence, shall apply accord-\ningly to lessees under these regulations.\n\n8. No lessee shall divide, sublet, or transfer the land\nheld by him under these regulations, except under and sub-\nject to the provisions of Part I of the said Act.\n\n9. No lessee shall apply for or hold more than one allot-\nment, and such allotment shall be held for his or her sole use\nand benefit, and not for the use or benefit of any other person\nwhomsoever.\n\n10. All the provisions of the said Act, so far as applicable,\nshall extend and apply to the lands affected by these regula-\ntions, and to the applications and leases to be made and\nissued thereunder, and generally to the interests created,\nand the persons whose rights, liabilities, or interests are\nthereby affected; and the mention of any particular pro-\nvision of the said Act shall not be deemed to exclude any\nother provision of the said Act applicable to the particular\ncase.\n\nFull particulars may be ascertained and plans obtained at\nthis office.\n\nT.
