Order under Section 39 of the Native Land Court Act, 1894.
IN THE NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WANGANUI DISTRICT.
In the matter of section 39 of the Native Land Court Act, 1894, and section 433 of the Native Land Act, 1909; and in the matter of the application of Hema Watene, under the said section 39, for cancellation of the orders appointing successors to the interests of the said Hema Watene, and the orders appointing successors to the interests of Hemi Watene, deceased, in Hamua, Ngatitanewai, and Ngatitupaea Blocks.
WHEREAS the said application was referred by me to the Native Land Court for inquiry and report, and the same has been duly reported upon: And whereas it has been ascertained that the said succession orders were made in error:
Now, therefore, for the purpose of rectifying the said errors, and in exercise of the power in that behalf vested in me by section 39 and section 433 aforesaid, it is hereby ordered that the orders appointing successors to the interests of Hema Watene in the above-mentioned lands be cancelled, the said Hema Watene being still alive, and that the orders appointing successors to the interests of Hemi Watene, deceased, in the said lands be varied as under:—
HAMUA BLOCK.
In favour of Hema Watene.
NGATITUPAEA BLOCK.
In favour of Te Auraki Hemi in respect of Hemi Watene’s original interest.
In favour of Hema Watene in respect of interest derived by Hemi Watene from Tupeka, deceased.
NGATITANEWAI BLOCK.
In favour of Hema Watene.
