SEPT. 11.] THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 2801

The inclusion of the suburban boroughs tends to lower the rate at each of the four centres.

Auckland City .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 0·95
and seven suburban boroughs .. .. .. .. .. 70·9
Wellington City .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 0·70
and four suburban boroughs .. .. .. .. .. 0·68
Christchurch City .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 1·18
and five suburban boroughs .. .. .. .. .. 1·12
Dunedin City .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 0·72
and five suburban boroughs .. .. .. .. .. ·65

Including the suburbs, the rate at Christchurch is the highest, and at Dunedin the lowest.

Auckland and suburbs .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 0·89 0·79
Wellington and suburbs .. .. .. .. .. .. .. 1·02 0·68
