Light: A fixed red light will be shown from this buoy when steamers are entering or leaving the port at night, visible one mile.

INDIA.
India-Malabar Coast-Travancore.—Fixing of Monsoon Port.
INFORMATION has been received from the Port Officer, Alleppey, that the monsoon port has been fixed at Pathiankara, 21 miles south of Alleppey, and that the fixed red light has been exhibited there from the 15th June, 1913.

PORT ARTHUR.
NOTICE is hereby given that the upper part (iron post with spherical topmark) of Mojugan (Lutin Rock) beacon, at the outside of Ryojun-Ko, Kwangtung Peninsula, has been destroyed by the breakers.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—BEAN ROCK LIGHT.

IN the new chart of Auckland Harbour, No. 1970, published April, 1913, the dividing lines for the coloured arcs of Bean Rock light are slightly different to that shown on previous charts, and are as follows:—
White sector, 63½° (N. 48° E. mag.) to 87½° (N. 72° E. mag.).
Red sector, 87½° (N. 72° E. mag.) to 155½° (S. 40° E. mag.).
White sector, 155½° (S. 40° E. mag.) to 167° (S. 28° E. mag.).
Green sector, 167° (S. 28° E. mag.) to 244° (S. 48½° W. mag.).
White sector, 244° (S. 48½° W. mag.) to 259½° (S. 64° W. mag.).
Red sector, 259½° (S. 64° W. mag.) to 284° (S. 89° W. mag.).
Light obscured from 284° (S. 89° W. mag.) to 63½° (N. 48° E. mag.).
The magnetic variation on new chart is given as 15° 20′ E. for 1917.
