Opening National Endowment Lands in Auckland Land District for Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Altitude, 400 ft. to 600 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, covered with fern, manuka, and tutu. Soil of inferior quality of a pumice nature, on pumice formation; well watered by Waitahanui Stream. Distant seven miles from Pongakawa Post-office by formed road, three miles of which is main coach-road.

BAY OF ISLANDS AND WHANGAREI COUNTIES.—HUKERENUl SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 600 ft. to 900 ft. above sea-level. Broken pastoral land; about 110 acres forest, in clumps comprising rata, tawa, towai, taraire, kohekohe, and dry kauri and totara rickers; balance fern, manuka, and burnt bush, mostly old kauri-workings. Soil yellow clay and pipeclay, inferior on spurs; well watered by streams. Situated three miles from Hukerenui Railway-station by formed road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Opening Settlement Land in Auckland Land District for Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

Altitude, 150 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to hilly land covered with fern and manuka. Medium second-class soil of light nature; no water on section. Distant four miles from Putaruru Railway-station by formed cart-road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.

Altitude, 600 ft. to 700 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to level land covered with fern and manuka, except 1 acre of light forest, principally small tawa with light undergrowth of scrub mostly killed by fire. Soil of good quality of a sandy nature, on volcanic-cement formation; well watered by small stream. Distant fourteen miles from Tauranga by formed road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Land temporarily reserved as a Site for a Public School in Block X, Mangakahia Survey District, Auckland Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section 7A, Block X, Mangakahia Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 654 and 199-8 links; towards the south by Section 7, Block X, Mangakahia Survey District, 817 links; towards the west and north-west by a public road, 480-5, 359, and 207-7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/413A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged purple. (Auckland Plan 14540, blue.)
