Opening Land in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-eighth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

ROTORUA COUNTY.—ROTOITI SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 1,000 ft. to 1,200 ft. above sea-level. Good easy frontage to road but very broken towards back of section. About 200 acres light mixed forest comprising rata, tawa, pukatea, rewarewa, kotukutuku, and an occasional rimu, with medium undergrowth of supplejack, mahoe, karamu, rangiora, &c.; balance fern country. Fair soil of a loamy pumice nature, on pumice formation; fairly well watered by Onaia Stream. Situated twelve miles from Ngongotaha and eight miles from Hamurana, by good formed road in each case.
MANGONUI COUNTY.—MAUNGATANIWHA EAST PARISH.

Altitude, 120 ft. to 700 ft. above sea-level. Hilly to broken land; about one-half mixed forest comprising rata, a few rimu, towai, taraire, kohekohe, &c., with thick undergrowth of kohutuhutu, hangehange, piopio, nikau, punga, supplejack, ferns, &c.; balance fern country, 20 acres of which was once grassed but is now completely overgrown. Soil a reddish clay of medium quality, on sandstone formation; well watered by stream. Distant seventeen miles and a half from Mangonui by formed cart-road to within a quarter of a mile of section, thence by bridle-track. About thirteen miles of the road is metalled.
MANGONUI COUNTY.—TAKAHUE SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 100 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to hilly land, covered with heavy mixed forest comprising rimu, puriri, totara, miro, taraire, towai, rewarewa, kohekohe, &c., with thick undergrowth of mahoe, nikau, punga, kiekie, supplejack, ferns, &c. Soil a good clay, on sandstone formation; well watered by stream. Distant nine miles from Kaitaia—six miles and a half of which is by good metalled road, balance formed 10 ft. road.
