Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks VII and XI, Russell Survey District, for Road Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Blocks VII and XI, Russell Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waihaha, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Block X, Ngamatea Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kakatihi, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Applications invited for the Position of Veterinarian in the Agriculture Department.

APPLICATIONS will be received at this office up till noon on the 4th proximo for the position of Veterinarian in the Agriculture Department.

Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

Applicants must hold the degree of M.R.C.V.S., or some similar diploma approved by the Commissioner.

The appointment will be subject to the Public Service Act, 1912.

Position will be graded in Professional Division, Class D. Salary to commence, £310 per annum.

  1. APPLICATIONS will be received at this office up till noon on 11th September, 1913, for the position of Assistant in the Pathological Laboratory.

  2. Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education, experience, particulars of age, &c.

  3. The qualifications essential for the position are—
    (a.) At least four years’ experience in a pathological laboratory.
    (b.) A fair knowledge of elementary biology, zoology, botany, and chemistry.

  4. Applicants must have done practical work in biology and chemistry equal to one year’s course in the University of New Zealand.

  5. The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.

  6. Position will be graded in Class F, Seventh Subdivision, Professional Division. Salary, £180 to commence.
