NATIVE-SCHOOL TEACHERS.

NOTE.—The salaries of Native-school teachers carry scale increases generally from the 1st January in each year. The increases cannot be specified as they are subject to varying conditions prescribed by the Regulations of 1909 relating to Native schools. In addition to salary Head Teachers are, in most cases, provided with a residence of the value of £20 to £25 per annum; where no residence is provided a payment is made in lieu thereof.
