Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Wellington Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of Raurimu Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Raurimu Domain Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 1 rood 25 perches, more or less, being Section 22, Block XII, Kaitieke Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Section 21, Block XII, Kaitieke Survey District, 1086·3 links; towards the east and south generally by the Main Trunk Road, 230·5 links, 205 links, 271·8 links, 763·7 links, 224·3 links, 345·4 links, 652·6 links, 152 links, and 117·9 links; towards the north-west by Crown land, 1019·2 links; towards the south-west by Crown land, 608 links; again towards the north-west by the Main Trunk Road, 47·8 links; and again towards the south-west by said road, 223·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1441/7, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Recreation Reserve in Nelson Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Brightwater Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

BRIGHTWATER DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of Section 18 of Waimea South Original District, situated in Block IX, Waimea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a road, 40 links; towards the north-east by a part of the before-mentioned Section 18, 1276·6 links (or thereabouts); towards the south-east by a right-of-way and by other parts of the said Section 18; towards the south by a line 1 chain distant from and parallel to the railway reserve; towards the south-west by a part of Section 18 aforesaid; towards the north-west and south-west by parts of the said Section 18, 666 links and 376·6 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1483/27A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notifying Land in Southland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Opening Lands in Taranaki Land District for Sale or Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Situated at the junction of the Whangamomona and Kohi Roads, about thirteen miles and a quarter from Whangamomona Railway-station—by dray-road for twelve miles, balance bridle-road. Broken pastoral country, with a few flats in parts, one flat in the northern portion being about 20 acres. About half the section is covered with a heavy bush of tawa, rimu, rata, tawhero, and a dense undergrowth of karamu, raurekau, kotukutuku, hoho, pitau, ponga, mamaku, tupari, &c.; the remainder comprises an old burn in heavy second growth, with a few old tawa and tawhero that escaped the fire. The soil is of good quality, resting on papa formation; well watered. Elevation varies from 400 ft. to 1,100 ft. above sea-level.

Situated on the Whangamomona Road, about fourteen miles and three-quarters from Whangamomona Railway-station—by dray-road for twelve miles, a mile and a half bridle-road, and balanced unformed road; but the bridle-road access is being formed to within half a mile of section. Broken pastoral country, with a few flats along stream and road. About 100 acres of the land is an old burn in heavy second growth; the balance is covered with a heavy bush of tawa, rimu, rata, tawhero, mahoe, and a few rewarewa,
