A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the River Boards Act, 1908, as amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1910, it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor may, on petition signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the ratepayers of a river district, enlarge, alter, or diminish any such district:
And whereas a petition signed as aforesaid has been duly presented, praying that the Waikiwi River District, established under the said Act, may be enlarged, and that the boundaries thereof may be those set forth in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient to grant the prayer of the said petition:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto, and that this Proclamation shall come into force on the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.
SCHEDULE.
WAIKIWI RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, situated in Blocks IV, IX, XIV, XV, XVI, and XVII, Invercargill Hundred. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Section No. 13, Block XVI, from the westernmost corner of that section to the road forming its south-eastern boundary; thence across that road and by Section No. 38 to its south-eastern corner; thence towards the north-west generally by Sections Nos. 38 and 39 to a point on the eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section, distant 2511 links from its north-eastern corner; thence towards the north by a right line to a point on the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 42, distant 2543 links from the north-eastern corner of that section; thence across the road forming the eastern boundary of the said Section No. 42; thence towards the west by that road to the north-western corner of Section No. 43, Block XVI aforesaid; thence again towards the north by the road forming the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 40, 39, 38, and 21, Block XIV, to a point in line with the western boundary-line of Section No. 5; thence towards the west by a line across the last-mentioned road and by the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 5 aforesaid to the north-western corner of that section; thence again towards the north by the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 5, 4, 3, and 2, Block XIV, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence across a road and towards the west by the road forming the western boundary of Section No. 27, Block IV, to the north-western corner of that section; thence again towards the north by Sections Nos. 36 and 35, Block IX, and again towards the west by the last-mentioned section to its north-eastern corner; thence towards the north-east by the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 34, 33, 32, and 31, Block IX aforesaid, and towards the east by the road forming the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to its south-eastern corner; thence again towards the north across a road and by Sections Nos. 12, 11, and 10, Block IX aforesaid, and again towards the east by Section No. 4, and across the road at the south-western corner of that section; thence again towards the north by the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 35, Block IV, to its north-eastern corner; thence again towards the east by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 35 and 26, Block IV, for a distance of 53 chains to the road which intersects the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south by the road which intersects Sections Nos. 26, 25, and 24, and the northern side of that road produced westerly to the eastern boundary of Section No. 1 of 20; thence towards the west by the last-mentioned section and across the road forming its northern boundary; thence
ERRATUM.—On page 2311, New Zealand Gazette, 31st July, 1913, Inspector of Sea Fishing appointed, “Walter Adams” should be “Wallace Adams.”
