Altitude, about 210 ft. above sea-level. Sections are mostly level land in old grass, with light sandy soil, and are situated from 20 to 50 chains from Matamata Railway-station, on the Auckland—Rotorua Railway, 122 miles from Auckland.

cations will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 25th day of March, 1913, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Second-class Land.

Altitude, 600 ft. to 900 ft. above sea-level. Broken country, with a few burnt forest clearings; balance mixed forest comprising rata, rimu, kahikatea, totara, about twenty kauri-trees, taraire, rewarewa, towai, and kohekohe. Clay soil, stony in places; well watered by permanent stream. Situated three miles and a half from Towai Railway-station, a mile and three-quarters formed and partly metalled dray-road, three-quarters of a mile good bridle-track, balance as yet unformed but to be formed shortly.

Altitude, 600 ft. to 900 ft. above sea-level. About 200 acres undulating land, balance broken country; about 90 acres fern and manuka; remainder mixed forest comprising rata, rimu, kahikatea, totara, about twelve kauri-trees (of which nine are in one clump), taraire, rewarewa, towai, and kohekohe. Soil generally clay, with a small area of pipeclay; well watered by permanent streams. Situated four miles from Towai Railway-station by dray-road.

TAURANGA COUNTY.—TE PUNA PARISH.—HAURAKI MINING DISTRICT.

Altitude, 90 ft. to 570 ft. above sea-level. Two-thirds undulating land, balance broken; 10 acres fern and tutu, balance heavy manuka scrub. Soil of fairly good quality, of a sandy nature, on pipeclay formation; indifferently watered by small stream. Situated seven miles and a half from Tauranga, seven miles of which is by coach-road.

Altitude, 20 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. About 100 acres swamp; balance undulating land, covered with fern and manuka. Soil of fair quality, of a sandy nature, on volcanic-cement formation; well watered by streams and swamp. Situated five miles and a half from Tauranga by formed road.

Soil of inferior quality, of a sandy nature, on pumice formation; well watered by stream. Situated seven miles and a half from Tauranga, seven miles of which is by coach-road, balance unformed.

MANGONUI COUNTY.—WALAKE PARISH.
