WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IT was resolved, That whereas the Wairoa Borough Council has been duly authorized to raise a loan of £6,000 for the purpose of constructing a suction-gas plant and works and of electric lines for the supply of electricity; and whereas the £6,000 is found to be insufficient; now, therefore, the Wairoa Borough Council, under the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £600 (being 10 per cent. of £6,000 already borrowed), the Wairoa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) on all rateable property in the Borough of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan.

Certified as a true copy of a resolution passed at a regular meeting of the Council held on 7th April, 1913.
