upon the rateable value of all rateable property in that part
of the Borough of Woodville which is bounded on the north
by Sowry Road, on the east by Pinfold Road, again on the
north by Vogel Street, again on the east by Rural Section 70,
on the south by the Mangaatua Creek to where it impinges
on the southern boundary of Rural Section 75 and thence
by Rural Sections 76 and 117, on the west by Rural Section 123,
again on the north by Rural Section 120, and again on the
west by Rural Sections 120 and 8; and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years,
or until the loan is fully paid off, and shall be payable half-
yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of Septem-
ber in each and every year.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution passed at a duly constituted special meeting
of the Woodville Borough Council held on the 17th day of
July, 1913.

MARTINBOROUGH TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the
Martinborough Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of
£4,500, authorized to be raised by the said Town Board,
under the above-mentioned Acts, for the following purpose
—for erecting and installing a system of electric light for
the Town District of Martinborough, the said Town Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound
on the capital value of all rateable property in the Township
of Martinborough; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of forty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Martinborough Town Board held on Monday,
the 14th day of July, 1913.

WAITOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,
and its amendments, the Waitoa Drainage Board hereby
resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a further loan of £300 (being ten per centum of
the amount of original loan of £3,000) authorized to be raised
by the Waitoa Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned
Act, to complete the construction of drainage-works in the
Western Subdivision of the Waitoa Drainage District, the
Waitoa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the rate-
able value of all rateable property of the Western Sub-
division of the Waitoa Drainage District, being all that area
to the south-west of the centre-line of No. 7 Road, being
the original subdivisional sections of the Waitoa Estate, 32,
33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 37A, 38A, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 42, together
with the Westport Village site, the block Waihongi Tatua-
haua, and parts Te Kahia and Tatua-o-haua No. 1; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of February in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a
special meeting of the Waitoa Drainage Board held on the
12th day of July, 1913.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £400.—
MOAWHANGO BRIDGE.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,
the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the
Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a
bridge over the Moawhango River at Kirikiri, and the cost
of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangi-
tikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable
value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property of the Moawhango Bridge Special-rating District,
comprising Motukawa Blocks 2A No. 4 (678 acres 1 rood
20 perches), 2A No. 5 (1,060 acres), and 2A No. 6 (1,183½ acres) ;
Rangipo Waiu Blocks B part No. 4 (1,110¾ acres), B No. 5
(1,025 acres 3 roods 10 perches), B No. 6A (534 acres 3 roods
27 perches), B No. 6B (1,069 acres 3 roods 14 perches),
B No. 6C (1,069 acres 3 roods 14 perches), B No. 7A (481 acres
1 rood 37 perches), B No. 7B (732 acres 1 rood 5 perches),
B No. 7C (366 acres 0 roods 22 perches), B No. 7D (488 acres
0 roods 30 perches), and B No. 7E (488 acres 0 roods 30 perches),
also part Run 30 (2A No. 1, Motukawa), containing 710 acres,
in Blocks II, III, VI, and VII, Ohinewairua Survey District,
XV and XVI, Moawhango Survey District, and XIII, Motu-
puha Survey District. As the said special-rating district is
more particularly shown upon the plan annexed to the rate-
payers’ consent to such loan, and thereon bordered red.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of May in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a
half or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and repay-
ment of such loan being together at the rate of £5 6s. 6d. per
centum per annum.”

I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangitikei
County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution
was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the said
Council held on the 5th July, 1913.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei
County Council has been hereunto affixed this 18th day of
July, 1913.

OMAKA ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION CARRIED AT SPECIAL MEETING HELD THURSDAY,
10TH JULY, 1913.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and any amend-
ments thereto, the Omaka Road Board hereby resolves as
follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of
a loan of £1,500 and the interest on £1,000 at 3¾ per centum
per annum, and the balance at 4½ per centum per annum, by
the periodical payment as required by the New Zealand State-
guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and any amendments there-
to, and other charges and expenses incidental thereto, which
loan is authorized to be raised by the Omaka Road Board by
special order under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and
the amendments thereof, and by virtue of a Warrant dated
the 14th day of June, 1911, issued under the hand of His
Excellency the Governor in terms of section 119 of the Public
Works Act, 1908, for the purpose of providing the Omaka
Road Board’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge over
the Wairau River at Renwicktown; and the said Omaka
Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two
fifty-thirds of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property within the Omaka Road Board Dis-
trict, in lieu of special rate of one twenty-seventh of a penny
in the pound already struck by the Board; and that such
special rate of two fifty-thirds of a penny in the pound shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be paid yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
