Notice respecting Proposed Alteration in Boundaries of Borough of St. Kilda.

PURSUANT to section 118 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, has been presented to him, praying that the said area may be included in the Borough of St. Kilda. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF ST. KILDA.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of the City of Dunedin, at the junction of the southern side of Bay View Road with the south-western side of Anderson’s Bay Road; thence along the south-western boundary of the City of Dunedin to high-water mark of Dunedin Harbour; thence along the high-water mark of the said Dunedin Harbour to where the road known as Beach Road to Portobello or Lower Portobello Road crosses Anderson’s Bay; thence across that road and along the south-western side of Anderson’s Bay to Anderson’s Bay Road; thence along the north-western side of that road to the angle opposite the eastern side of the district road known as Tainui Road; thence across Anderson’s Bay Road to and along the eastern side of the said Tainui Road to the boundary between Sections Nos. 10 and 30, Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District; thence across the last-mentioned road to and along the northern side of Tahuna Road to the eastern boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda; and thence along the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of St. Kilda to the place of commencement.
