Council hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of £250 (two hundred and fifty pounds), such amount being 1/10th (one-tenth) of the special loan of £2,500 raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, and known as the “Pumping Plant Duplication Loan”; and that such special loan of £250 be for a period of 36½ years, and that the rate of interest be 4½ per cent. per annum; and that there be paid a half-yearly instalment in respect of principal and interest of £2 16s. 1d. for each £100 of the said loan. And, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and other charges in connection with the said loan, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/24th (one twenty-fourth) of a penny in the £ (pound) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to the Waipawa Borough Act, 1907); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s instalment in respect of principal and interest be paid out of the moneys so raised.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a properly convened special meeting of the Waipawa Borough Council held on the 13th day of June, 1913.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SPECIAL LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its various amending Acts, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of completing the construction of drainage-works for the borough, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of £870 (eight hundred and seventy pounds), such amount being one-tenth (1/10th) of the special loan of £8,700, known as the “Drainage Construction Loan”; and that such special loan of £870 be for a period of 41 years, and that the rate of interest be 3½ per cent. per annum. And, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges in connection with the said loan of £870, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/15th (one-fifteenth) of a penny in the £ (pound) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to the Waipawa Borough Act, 1907); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest on the loan be paid out of the moneys so raised.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SPECIAL LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its various amending Acts, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of completing the improvements and additions to the Municipal Buildings and the purchase of seats and various fittings for the Municipal Theatre, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of £125 (one hundred and twenty-five pounds), such amount being 1/10th (one tenth) of the special loan of £1,250, known as the Municipal Buildings Improvement Loan, and that such special loan of £125 be for a period of twenty-nine (29) years computed from the first day of July, 1913, and that the rate of interest be £5 per centum per annum. And for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges in connection with the said loan the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/32nd (one thirty-second) of a penny in th.£ (pound) on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waipawa (the boundaries of the said borough being described in Schedule to the Waipawa Borough Act, 1907); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest on the loan be paid out of the moneys so raised.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the County of Franklin taken on the 3rd day of June, 1913, on the proposal of the Franklin County Council to borrow the sum of fifteen hundred pounds (£1,500) for the purpose of making, forming, and widening and metalling certain roads in the Hunua Riding, the number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 56; the number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 13; informal, 1.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Franklin County Council intends to strike, at the next meeting of the Council to be held on 10th July, 1913, a special rate of a third of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of such parts of the “special-rating area” as hereinafter defined where the rating upon the capital value is in force, and 41/64 of a penny in the pound (being equivalent to the above) upon such parts of the said area where the rating upon the unimproved value is in force.
The special-rating area is as follows:—
The whole of the rateable properties in the Hunua Road District (in which district the rating upon unimproved value is in force), together with the following properties in the Opaheke Road District: Sections 95, part 96, Block 6; 126, Block 6; 94, Blocks 6 and 7; 200, Block 6; 204, Block 7; 93, Blocks 6 and 7; 128, 250, 37, and 11, Block 7; 12, Blocks 7 and 9; 13, Block 11; 81A, Block 7; also the following properties in the Paparata Road District—Sections 130, 133, 135, Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, being all the properties in the Happy Valley Estate, Blocks 7 and 11; and the following properties in the Maungatawhiri outlying districts—Sections 90, 64, 56, 54, 6, 5, 98, 7, Block 3; 89 and 97, Blocks 13 and 3; 97A, Blocks 13 and 14; 100, Block 14; 101, 102, 103, 55, 57, Block 4; 58A, 58, 61, 61B, 108, 46, 60, Block 8; 68 and 63, Blocks 7 and 8. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of August in each year, at the office of the Council, during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36 years, or until the loan is paid off, the rate of interest being 5 per cent. per annum, with 1 per cent. per annum sinking fund.
The rate-book of the Franklin County Council will be open for public inspection at the Council office, Pukekohe, from the 17th day of June, 1913.
