Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirty-first day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and seventeen of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as public roads the road-lines laid out by the Native Land Court in Blocks VIII and IX, Whakatane Survey District, and described in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:
And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so purchased, taken, or acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose, the Governor
