THE WAIKAKA UNITED GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).
At an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Waikaka United Gold-dredging Company (Limited) held on Monday, the 12th day of May, at 4 o’clock p.m., the following resolution, which was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on 25th April, was put to the meeting as a special resolution, and unanimously confirmed.
“That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that R. A. MATHEWSON, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up, and that the remuneration to be paid to him be the sum of £21; and that the Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized and directed to sell and dispose of the whole of the assets of the company to Messrs. John C. McGeorge, John Turnbull, and Robert Paterson (who are hereinafter called the “guarantors,” and who are the guarantors of the advances made by the Bank of New Zealand (the company’s bankers) and are creditors of the company for advances of varied amounts made by them respectively to the company), in consideration of such guarantee and the payment by the guarantors of the amount owing by the company to the Bank of New Zealand, and in consideration of the release by them of the company from liability to repay advances made by them to the company, and in consideration of the payment by the guarantors of all moneys which at the date of passing the resolution for winding up the company shall be owing by the company, and of the cost of winding up the company, and the Liquidator’s remuneration as aforesaid.”

WEBER COUNTY COUNCIL.
AMENDMENT OF NEW WINTER BY-LAWS.
The Weber County Council hereby by way of special order, and in pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1908, the Public Works Act, 1908, and every other Act or authority enabling it, amends the by-laws made by it on the 6th day of April, 1912 (and known as the New Winter By-laws), by altering paragraph 1 thereof to the extent of substituting the words “12th day of May” for the words “30th day of May,” in the second line thereof; but in all other respects the said by-laws and the several schedules thereto shall read as before.
The above amendment of the New Winter By-laws was made by special order passed at a special meeting of the Weber County Council held on 12th April, 1913, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 10th day of May, 1913, and shall come into force on the 27th day of May, 1913.
The common seal of the Corporation of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Weber County was hereunto affixed on the 10th day of May, 1913, in the presence of—

WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 13 OF THE LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS ACT, 1908.
I HEREBY publicly notify that at the poll taken on Wednesday, the 30th day of April, 1913, on the proposal of the Wanganui Borough Council to borrow the sum of seventeen thousand five hundred pounds (£17,500) for the following purposes, that is to say,—

The completion of the traffic-bridge across the Wanganui River from a point on the right bank of the said river at the junction or intersection of Dublin Street and the River Bank Road to a point on the left bank of the said river abutting on Lot 3 and Lot 5 of Section 63 on the plan of the left bank of the Wanganui River, and the necessary approaches thereto, by the substitution of reinforced-concrete cylinders at piers B, C, D, E, F, G, and H of the said bridge instead of reinforced-concrete pile piers as originally designed, according to a design, plans, and specifications and conditions prepared by the Public Works Department of the Dominion of New Zealand, and all matters incidental, connected with, or relating thereto. The said bridge is being constructed by the Wanganui Borough Council, and is being so constructed as to allow of vehicular, tramway, pedestrian, and sheep and cattle traffic.—£8,500.

The construction under the Tramways Act, 1908, and its amendments, and other Acts enabling it in that behalf, and the equipment of an electric tramway of the following description: The route of the proposed tramway commences at a point on the present tramway system of the Borough of Wanganui at the junction or intersection of Dublin Street and the River Bank Road, thence across the River Bank Road to the traffic-bridge proposed to be erected across the Wanganui River (from a point on the River Bank Road at its junction with Dublin Street to a point on the left bank of the Wanganui River abutting on Lot 3 or Lot 5 of Section 63 on the plan of the left bank of the Wanganui River), thence across the said bridge, thence along a street proposed to be made along the south boundary of the said Lot 3 and through Lots 7 and 18 of Section 63 to Gellatly Street, thence north-easterly by way of Scott Street to its junction with Duncan Street, thence by way of Duncan Street and Tinirau Street to Pehi Road to a point at or near the junction of Pehi Road with Holyoake Street; and for the providing of electric tramcars, plant, buildings, sheds, and all other land, buildings, machinery, appliances, plant, apparatus, and things necessary, convenient, or expedient for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, and working such tramway, and all things incidental thereto or used in connection therewith.
