    THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereunder shall be scenic reserves under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

HAUTONU SCENIC RESERVE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section 9, Block XI, Retaruke Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Crown land, 436·9 links, 1110·6 links, 509 links, and 383·4 links; towards the east generally by the Retaruke Valley Road; towards the south by Section 7, Block XI, Retaruke Survey District, 93·3 links, 206·9 links, 202·9 links, 141·4 links, and 117·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 236/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PAPAPOTU SCENIC RESERVE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 28 acres, more or less, being Section 10, Block XII, Retaruke Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Retaruke Valley Road; towards the north-east by a public road and by a road and river-bank reserve along the western bank of the Taurimu Stream; towards the south-east and south-west generally by Section 6, Block XII, Retaruke Survey District, 568·4 links, 573·1 links, 365·9 links, 150·1 links, 334·2 links, 264·7 links, 278·4 links, 263·3 links, 204 links, and 506 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 237/1A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

NGATAUMATA SCENIC RESERVE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section 12, Block XII, Retaruke Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east generally by Section 8, Block XII, Retaruke Survey District, 851·3 links, 209·7 links, 190·8 links, 253·5 links, 364·3 links, and 362·5 links; towards the south-west by Section 7 of said block, 703·9 links; and towards the north-west generally by the Retaruke Valley Road: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 237/1B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

NGAMOTURIKI SCENIC RESERVE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres, more or less, being Section 13, Block IX, Kaitieke Survey District. Bounded towards the north and east generally by Section 6, Block IX, Kaitieke Survey District, 208·9 links, 275·2 links, 1551·1 links, and 617·5 links; and towards the south and south-west generally by the Kouturoa Road, the Tarata Stream, and the Retaruke Valley Road: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 692/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

ROTOKAHU SCENIC RESERVE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 312 acres, more or less, being Section 9, Block XIII, Kaitieke Survey District. Bounded towards the west generally by the Maungaroa Road and by Section 4, Block XVI, Retaruke Survey District; and towards the north-east, east, and south-east generally by Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block XIII, Kaitieke Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 691/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate Area of the Piece of Land taken. Being Portion of Situated in Block Situated in Survey District of Shown on Plan Coloured on Plan

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the Head Office Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.
