Opening Settlement Land in Southland Land District for Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

Part of the Buddo Settlement, which is situated from three-quarters of a mile to a mile and a half from the Belfast Railway-station, and close to the Belfast Freezing-works. It is level agricultural land, suitable for any one employed at the works.
Paparua County.-Rolleston Survey District.-Drayton Settlement.

It is good, level, and undulating agricultural land ; watered by the Scargill Stream and other small streams. Geraldine County.-Geraldine Survey District.-Winchester Settlement.

Part of Winchester Settlement, which is situated two miles and three-quarters from Winchester Railway-station by good road. It is good level agricultural land ; watered by small stream, and good water for household purposes can be obtained by boring. There is a public school at Winchester. The improvements which are not included in the price of the section, but which must be paid for separately, consist of a six-roomed wooden house, stable, coach-house, woolshed, and dairy, valued at £455. The improvements included in the price of the section consist of 144 chains of fencing, orchard, and sheep-pens, valued at £85.
Waimate County.-Waimate Survey District.-Waimate Settlement.
