Education Department,
Wellington, 14th January, 1913.
THE following lists contain the names of candidates that have satisfied the pass requirements of the examinations held on the 28th and 29th November, 1912, for the purposes (a) of the award of Junior National Scholarships and Education Board Junior Scholarships; and (b) of the admission to Junior Free Places in secondary schools, district high schools, and technical schools.
List I contains the names of candidates that have passed the scholarship examination, arranged in groups according to the several education districts. In each group the names are given in order of merit with the total marks assigned to the candidates out of a possible total of 800 marks. On the production of such further evidence of eligibility as may be required, and on compliance with such further conditions of examination as may be imposed by the regulations of the several districts, scholarships will be awarded by the Education Boards to candidates on this list within the limit of the number of scholarships in each case available.
List II is a general alphabetical list of all candidates that, either in the examination for scholarships or in the special free-place examination held conjointly therewith, have given evidence of sufficient attainments for admission to Junior Free Places.
