NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately existing between us, in which we carried on the business of Storekeepers, at Devonport, under the style of “J. Henderson and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of March, 1913; and as from that date the said business has been carried on and will be continued by JOHN HENDERSON alone under the style above mentioned.

All debts owing by the late firm will be paid by the said JOHN HENDERSON, and all debts owing to the firm are to be paid to him.

REGISTRATION OF MOTORS.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Manawatu County Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, to bring Part II of the said Act relating to the registration of motors into operation in the County of Manawatu as from the 1st day of May, 1913.

NOTICE.


RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Murchison taken on the 8th day of March, 1913, on the proposal of the Murchison County Council to borrow the sum of £900 for the purpose of building new Council Chambers, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 62, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 28.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

RESOLUTION.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Martinborough Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

(1.) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and for the purpose of a supplementary loan of three hundred and fifty pounds (£350), authorized to be raised by the Martinborough Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, as a supplementary loan to the Town Hall Loan, 1911, of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500), the Martinborough Town Board hereby makes and levies the special rate of 1/18 of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Martinborough Town District; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be paid yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Martinborough Town Board held on Monday, 14th April, 1913.

I, HERBERT GEORGE COLLIER, commonly known as HERBERT GEORGE PREBBLE, of Christchurch, Builder, do hereby give notice that I have assumed and intend henceforth upon all occasions and at all times to sign and use and be known by the surname of “PREBBLE” in lieu of the surname of “COLLIER,” and that on the 5th day of April, 1913, I executed a deed-poll evidencing the assumption of such surname of “Prebble” as aforesaid, and that such deed-poll has been enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch.
