particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for
Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the
Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside
reserves for any specified public purpose out of land ac-
quired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no
land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the lands in the Canterbury Land District
described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes
in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective
descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily
reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 acre and 32 perches, more or less, being
Reserve No. 3805, situated in Block VI, Selwyn Survey Dis-
trict (Fyvie Settlement). Bounded northward by Lot No. 2,
Fyvie Settlement, 404·2 links; eastward by a public road,
300·5 links; southward by a right-of-way, 404·2 links; and
westward by Reserve No. 3806, 300·5 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 1913/138A, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red. For a site for a public school.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 acre and 32 perches, more or less, being
Reserve No. 3806, situated in Block VI, Selwyn Survey Dis-
trict (Fyvie Settlement). Bounded northward by Lot 2,
Fyvie Settlement, 404·2 links; eastward by Reserve No. 3805,
300·5 links; southward by a right-of-way, 404·2 links; and
westward by Lot 2, Fyvie Settlement, 300·5 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 1913/138B, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red. For gravel purposes.

this eleventh day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and thirteen.

Land temporarily reserved for Metal Purposes in Kaitieke
Survey District, Wellington Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first
section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the land in the Wellington Land Dis-
trict described in the Schedule hereunder written, for metal
purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods 4 perches, more or less,
being Section 15, Block XII, Kaitieke Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by Crown lands, 2093·97
links; towards the south-west generally by the North Island
Main Trunk Railway, 382·4 links, 87·4 links, and 499·3 links,
and by Arline Creek; towards the west by Crown lands, 290
links; and towards the north-west by Main Trunk Road from
Raurimu, 263·7 links and 774·1 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 1913/335, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and thirteen.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liver-
pool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint

MICHAEL MALEY

to be a Trustee, in the place of Richard Yardley, resigned,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Lumsden
Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Thomas Menzie, John
McFetridge, Robert Brown, and Henry Gibson Key, pre-
viously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hun-
dred and thirteen.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries
Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liver-
pool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint the local authority specified in Part I of the
Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the
public cemetery specified in Part II of the said Schedule.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 13 acres and 29·4 perches, more or less, being
Section 34, part of Section 35, and part of Section 76 of the
Town of Hodgkinson. Bounded towards the north-east by
Aparima Street, 2026·4 links; towards the south by Brid-
port Street, 1869·8 links; and towards the north-west, west,
and again towards the north-west by a road, 582·2 links,
727·2 links, and 423·4 links respectively: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 1697/15, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of April, one thousand nine hun-
dred and thirteen.

Notice setting apart certain Unoccupied Crown Lands within
the Westland Mining District, exclusively for Mining
Purposes.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me
by paragraph (a) of section eighteen of the Mining Act,
1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
set apart exclusively for mining purposes the land described
in the Schedule hereto, being unoccupied Crown lands within
the Westland Mining District.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2,090 acres, being Reserve 1462, Block IX,
Kanieri Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing
at the most southerly point of Section 1219, and continuing in
a general southerly direction up the left-hand bank of the Hoki-
tika River along a road reserve for a distance of 24550 links to
freehold Section 835; thence north-west by said Section 835
for a distance of 120 links, across Hokitika River Road 103·2
links and 1947·8 links to the northernmost corner of said
section; thence south-west by said Section 835 a distance of
1140 links; thence south-east by said Section 835 a distance
of 703·5 links, across the Hokitika River Road 119 links, and
