Waitara Borough Council declared a Leasing Authority under the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, 1913.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Waitara Borough Council is a body of persons having power to lease land held in trust set apart or reserved for public purposes, and has requested the Governor in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in compliance with such request and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred by the above-mentioned Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the Waitara Borough Council is a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

Confirming Resolution made by the Auckland Harbour Board under the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Auckland Harbour Board has, by a special resolution dated the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, established a Superannuation Fund under the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, for the benefit of the permanent employees now or hereafter in its service: And whereas it is expedient to confirm the said resolution:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section six of the Local Authorities Superannuation Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said resolution of the Auckland Harbour Board dated the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and doth declare that that resolution shall take effect as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulation, and doth declare that the said regulation shall come into force on the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette; and doth further declare that the said regulation shall be read together with and form part of the regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, made by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
REGULATION.
LETTERS addressed to places beyond New Zealand and posted in any automatic registration machine shall, if insufficiently prepaid, be detained and forwarded to the Dead Letter Office, to be there opened and returned to the senders; provided that if the name and address of the sender of any such insufficiently prepaid registered letter appear on the outside of the envelope, the letter shall be returned unopened to the sender by the Chief Postmaster of the district.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section four of the Public Service Act, 1912, it is enacted that nothing in that Act shall apply to any officer or class of officers to whom or to which, on the recommendation of and for special reasons assigned by the Commissioner, the Governor in Council declares that the said Act shall not apply:
And whereas the Commissioner has recommended that the said Act should not apply to the officers named in the Schedule hereto for the special reasons assigned by him:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that nothing in the Public Service Act, 1912, shall apply to the officers named in the Schedule hereto.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council issued on the second day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, under the authority of section one hundred and sixty-nine of the Land Act, 1892, fixing the terms and conditions of lease upon which lands in certain village settlements should be disposed of, it was provided that no lessee should hold more than one allotment in the Tutaekara Village Settlement:
