Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the twentieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-sixth day of the same month, certain land in the Auckland Land District was set apart as a reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto (being part of the land so set apart) is no longer suitable for scenic purposes :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 36 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 2, Block XIV, Coromandel Survey District. Bounded towards the north by part of Section No. 1 ; towards the east generally by the Coromandel-Mercury Bay Road ; towards the south by a right line running due west 2061 links ; and towards the west by a right line running due north 2224·7 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 332/17, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Resuming Land for Scenic Purposes in Block II, Kawhia South Survey District, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “ the said Act ”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land which is held under lease in perpetuity from His Majesty the King under Part III of the Land Act, 1892, dated the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and three :

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for scenic purposes :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being part of the land held under lease in perpetuity as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 acres and 2 roods, being a portion of Section 4, Block II, Kawhia South Survey District, commencing at a point on the road reserve between the said section and the Waiharakeke Inlet, 175·7 links from the north-east corner of the said Section 4, and bounded towards the north, west, and south generally by straight lines 175 links, 592·9, 553·8, 256·1, 292·4, 433, 381·8, 499·5, 326·7, 273·9, 190·3, 296·3, 252·6, and 251·5 links ; and towards the east generally by the aforesaid road reserve 1055·9, 1330·9, and 940·3 links to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less : as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 546/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
