THE MOTOR REGULATION ACT, 1908.
THE Whakatane County Council hereby gives notice that
at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the
9th day of January, 1913, the said Council resolved that
the provisions of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, be brought
into operation in the Whakatane County on the 1st day of
March, 1913.

VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
Re MASSEY BROTHERS (LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the above company duly
convened and held at the company’s registered office, Customs
Street West, Auckland, on Thursday, the 23rd day of Janu-
ary, 1913, the following special resolution was passed, and
subsequently confirmed at a duly convened meeting held at
the same office on Tuesday, the 11th day of February, 1913,
viz. :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the
provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that ERNEST
GERARD, CHARLES RICHARD MASSEY, and CHARLES ROBERT
CHAPMAN be appointed Liquidators for the purpose of wind-
ing up the affairs of the company.”

THE THAMES GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED),
(IN LIQUIDATION).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the Thames Gold-mining Company (Li-
ited) duly convened and held at No. 108 Victoria Arcade,
Queen Street, Auckland, on the 31st day of January, 1913,
the subjoined resolution was duly passed; and at a subse-
quent extraordinary general meeting of the said company
also duly convened and held at the same place on the 18th
day of February, 1913, the subjoined resolution was duly
confirmed, viz. :—
“That the Thames Gold-mining Company (Limited) be
wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies
Act, 1908.”
And at the last above-named meeting HENRY GILFILLAN,
of Auckland, was appointed Liquidator for the purpose of
such winding-up.

ST. MARTIN’S TRAMWAY SPECIAL-RATING AREA.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Christchurch
Tramway Board, in pursuance and in exercise of the
powers vested in it under section 3 of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1908, and the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906,
and its amendments, did, by resolution passed at a meeting
of the said Board held on the 17th day of February, 1913,
define the boundaries of the St. Martin’s Tramway Special-
rating Area as follows :—
Commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Heathcote
River in line with the northern side of Tennyson Street ;
thence southerly along the eastern side of the River Heathcote
to the boundary-line between Lots 38 and 39, Deeds record
plan 1341 ; thence south-easterly along that boundary-line
to and across Hills Road ; thence south-easterly along the
south-west boundary of the portion of Rural Section 5863
belonging to the Skillicorn Estate, and across the road form-
ing the eastern boundary of the said section ; thence generally
southerly along the eastern side of the said road forming the
western boundaries of Rural Sections 15153, 30694, 127,
and part of 12607 to the road forming the southern boundary
of the last-mentioned section ; thence north-easterly along
the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 12607 and
Lot 1, deposit plan 2907, to White’s Road ; thence northerly
along White’s Road to opposite the southern boundary of
Lot 1, deposit plan 2855 ; thence easterly and northerly
along the southern and eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1,
deposit plan 2855, to the south-east corner of Rural Sec-
tion 13922 ; thence westerly along the southern boundary
of that section to the south-east corner of Rural Section 15453 ;
thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern
boundaries of that section to its north-western corner ; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 5267
to its north-eastern corner ; thence westerly and northerly
along the southern and western boundaries of Rural Sec-
tion 2600 to Hills Road ; thence north-westerly along Hills
Road to a point in line with the north-western side of Bra-
bourne Street ; thence north-easterly across Hills Road
and along the north-west side of Brabourne Street to the road
forming the eastern boundary of the land in certificates of
