The following are condensed reports of enumerators on the prospects of yields of crops in the various districts:—

Auckland.—Conditions generally unsatisfactory, and crops backward. Potato crop promises to be fair and free from blight.

Hawke’s Bay.—Season favourable, and grain crops probably heavier than last year. Root crops suffering from dry weather.

Taranaki.—Early grain crops are doing well, but late sown are generally light and include many failures. Rye-grass and cocksfoot are expected to be good, as also are root crops.

Wellington.—Grain crops are doing very well.
